    Supervising Physical Therapist
    Full-time position - 40 hours a week


    The Physical Therapist in Home Health is responsible for the assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to functional status/mobility, endurance/stamina, pain and other medical conditions. Based on this assessment and evaluation, the Physical Therapist works to help determine a treatment plan, performs interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patient's well being, and evaluates the patient's progress.
     

    Assess, plan, organize and supervise rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and improve or correct disabling conditions from disease or injury.

     

    Evaluate patient care needs related to functional status/mobility, endurance/stamina, pain and other medical conditions.

     

    Provide processional assessments and determine a treatment plan for patients.

     

    Perform interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patients’ well-being and monitor the patients’ progress. 

     

    Instruct and inform members of the health care team, the patient, and the family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.

     

    Furthermore, the position will supervise up to four (4) physical therapists.

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements:

    Two (2) years of experience practicing physical therapy and supervising physical therapists. 

     

    Education Requirements:

    Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy or the foreign equivalent of that degree; valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Tennessee.

     

    Special Requirements:

    Daily travel required to visit in-home patients in the local area.

    Must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle.

    Current CPR Certification required.
