The Accreditation and Regulatory Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Quality Management and coordinates all accreditation activities of the company including education, needs assessment, survey coordination, application coordination, plans of correction, and all continuous survey readiness activities.

*Maintains state crosswalks for regulatory guidance. Maintains current documents for state regulatory changes and Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
*Researches state regulations, for all service lines, for acquisitions and ensures compliance with policies prior to acquiring agencies.
*Reviews and assists with development of job descriptions for all services lines to ensure qualifications are in alignment with state regulations and CoPs.
*Assists with policy and form development and revisions to ensure ongoing compliance with state regulations and CoPs.
*Serves as resource to field and other home office departments regarding policies and regulations. Answers daily regulatory questions through telephone and email interaction.
*Researches state practice acts to ensure clinicians are practicing within the scope of their license.
*Maintains knowledge of state and federal standards that regulate home healthcare environment through on the job reading, webinars, and/or local events.
*Actively coordinates and participates in policy review for all service lines biennially.
*Collaborates with Performance Improvement team to identify opportunities for improvement from a regulatory standpoint. Assists with enhancements to survey readiness assessment tool.
*Monitors listers for proposed regulatory changes and tracks accordingly to ensure compliance.
